Hey Folks,
Here’s Sunday’s Sermon.
Don’t Be Invisible
Matthew 5:14-16 (NLT): "You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."
As followers of Christ, we are called to be visible and let our light shine brightly in a world that needs God’s love and truth.
[1Sa 10:20-23 NLT] 20 So Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel before the LORD, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen by lot. 21 Then he brought each family of the tribe of Benjamin before the LORD, and the family of the Matrites was chosen. And finally Saul son of Kish was chosen from among them. But when they looked for him, he had disappeared! 22 So they asked the LORD, "Where is he?" And the LORD replied, "He is hiding among the baggage." 23 So they found him and brought him out, and he stood head and shoulders above anyone else.
You and I have the gift of life, salvation, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, The Word of God, and time at the Altar.
Let’s not waste our life with the sin, transgression, iniquity, fear, poverty (not just $), or insecurity to cause us to hide and divide.
Rise up in grace willing to be seen on the scene, lean, clean and serene.
Remove the baggage and stand tall living with a sense of dignity, destiny with delightful discipline.
Let your light shine
Bear good fruit
Maintain a great attitude
Have a visionary mindset
Make Your Presence Felt: Be Consecrated, Confident, and Contribute
Quote from Tim Ferriss's Dad: "It’s very odd. I used to feel like the invisible man, but now people more readily ask my opinion and take me more seriously. I went from not being noticed to being noticed. Quite apart from the aesthetic and performance benefit, there’s a huge social benefit. I lost my invisibility."
When we step into our God-given roles and live out our faith visibly, we gain respect and influence.
“Stay on the scene, lean, clean, and serene.”
Application: Recognize and embrace the influence God has given you. Use it to glorify Him and serve others. Be consecrated, confident, and contribute to your faith community.
